Title:Micro FX Futures and Dollar Cost Averaging

Speaker: Carley Garner

Company: DeCarley Trading

A majority of currency speculators initiate positions with a trading plan based on short-lived price moves using high amounts of leverage. With the advent of the CME Micro FX Currency Pair Futures, traders now have the ability to establish a lightly leveraged position play in the currencies.

The CME Micro Futures are not unlike the micro FX that carries low margins and reasonable equity swings; however, micro FX traders are sometimes trading against the house due to a lack of ECN market makers willing to deal in smaller contracts.

Also, due to the hassle of rollovers and carry charges, Micro FX traders tend to use the products as a day trading vehicle for "micro" sized accounts.
