Dave Johnston
Emini DayTrader

Dave Johnston is a 20+ year trading professional who has developed proprietary software that lets traders get "inside" the market profile. He has also developed the unique "2 out of 3" decision making model for day trading.

The eMiniDayTrader (EMDT) method focuses on obtaining ideal trade location on the day timeframe. Each trade setup is based on a real-time analysis of the auction process, not on lagging technical indicators

Rather than just being a trading system that only profits in certain market conditions, the EMDT method is built to first identify the market's condition (vertical, end-of-vertical, or horizontal) and then uses specific setups designed to take advantage of each phase.

The method uses the Market Profile to get a big picture handle on the market's condition and to gain a clear understanding of the key support and resistance levels. An intra-day filter, which judges the market's relative strength or weakness on the day, is then used to further clarify the market's condition.

Most importantly, the EMDT method helps traders find the proper balance between systematic and discretionary trading, which Dave believes to be a key factor in trading success.
