Category:
Upcoming Webinars

Description

Speaker:Chris McMahon, John Lothian & Jennifer Ropiak

Company: NYSE Liffe

Have you ever noticed a story on the internet that references exchanges “running out” of gold and not being able to satisfy demand? Have you wondered if there was any truth to it? In this live webinar, Chris McMahon of John Lothian will provide an overview of internet coverage of gold and silver futures markets and stories related to available supply for market participants.

Jennifer Ropiak of NYSY Liffe U.S. will also explain why futures prices do converge to the physical price. She will explain how to take physical delivery of gold or silver because it is not just “paper.”

Chris McMahon is a Chicago based financial journalist specializing in markets. He is the editor of the John Lothian Newsletter - Metals Edition, a FREE daily email newsletter providing traders, investors and other market participants with a comprehensive aggregation of news and commentary about the metals markets. JLN Metals Edition is modeled after the John Lothian Newsletter, focusing on non-price risk oriented risk and issues impacting the precious and industrial metals markets.

Since November 2008, Jennifer Ropiak has worked at NYSE Liffe U.S., NYSE Euronext’s new U.S. futures exchange, where she manages business and product development for the gold and silver mini and full size contracts.  Jennifer has twenty years of experience trading and marketing precious and platinum group metals at Morgan Stanley, AIG and Dresdner Bank.  This year, Jennifer has made presentations to the London Bullion Market Association and the International Precious Metals Association.
