Jerry Simmons began designing, programming and trading systems in 1975 and traded part-time until he became a full-time professional trader in 1985. After exploring many high-tech trading tools, he found that technical analysis provided the greatest edge for achieving long-term, consistent trading success. He began mentoring traders in 1995 and formed the Advanced Trading Workshop in 2005 with Andy Carlsen, a former student, to provide Total Trader Training SM.
