Articles that call for the Bull Market to continue seem to be “Looking for a reason,” and are reaching further and further for that reason. Abstract musings like “the market has historically gone up in the fourth quarter,” and “over the last 50 years, the market goes up post-election” have replaced discussions of fundamentals like; earnings, valuation, etc. Even reality based discussions about the spread between dividends and T-Bills seem like desperate searching. It’s hard to get excited about a stock that yields 5% but declines in price 40%.
